Brent Olstad Music

   Brent Olstad began composing music during college at Biola University where he received a degree in Organ Performance. During his time in college, he took composition lessons from Dr. Edwin Childs and began composing flute arrangements for his wife, Rachel. This led to the partnership with Ron Harris Music who published the first book of flute arrangements, The Faithful Flutist I, in 1989. Over the years, he wrote many more arrangements for Ron Harris Music which can be found in the Published Works section.

   Eventually, Brent  found himself as the Music and Worship leader at a church in Ashland, Oregon where he had the good fortune of having some very talented musicians in the congregation. The majority of the Digital Downloads found on this site were written during those years, but he also has been writing music in a variety of styles for many instruments including flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, big band, piano, organ, handbells, vocals and more.
